Starting his career at 19, Adi has over 15 years of international hospitality experience in Dubai and Vietnam, contributing to pre-opening projects such as Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, Atlantis The Palm, and Armani Hotel at Burj Khalifa.
Rising from line staff to Operational Manager, he also served as a consultant at Intercontinental Danang. Returning to Bali, Adi joined COMO, Starwood, and later Marriott International, where he held senior roles including Director of Food & Beverage at Sthala Tribute Portfolio Ubud.
He has also supported multiple Marriott pre-openings, including Fairfield Legian, Aloft Seminyak, and Fairfield Sunset Road, bringing expertise in operations, leadership, and brand standards.
Michael Leighton is the founder and owner of the API Global group of companies. API Global is the UK’s leading property investment and development specialist. With over 20 years of experience in structuring, marketing, and distributing real estate products, his expertise extends across international markets.
API Global was founded in 2013, with the mission to provide overseas investors with access to high-quality, tailored property investment opportunities. Matthew Jay is a distinguished international property developer, investor and entrepreneur with a career spanning more than two decades across the UK, Middle East, Africa and Asia. He has lived and worked in Dubai for a significant portion of his career, building deep expertise in cross border investment and development.
He has held Director level positions with two of the world’s most respected property consultancies, CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield, where he advised on landmark projects in global gateway cities and managed portfolios for leading international clients.
Demonstrating his entrepreneurial vision, Matthew went on to establish Alliance Investments as Managing Partner, growing it into a multinational property company with offices in key markets worldwide. In this role, he specialised in connecting agents and private investors with opportunities in the UK property market, building trusted partnerships and guiding clients through complex cross border investments. Under his leadership, the platform became recognised for delivering high value opportunities and forging long term relationships between developers and investors across multiple continents.
At Tranquility Bali, Matthew draws on this extensive international expertise to create communities that redefine luxury living on the island. Alongside overseeing project delivery and investment strategy, he also manages relationships with both agents and investors, ensuring every development is supported by strong partnerships and aligned interests. His approach integrates modern design, sustainability and cultural authenticity to deliver exceptional outcomes for residents and investors alike. He is committed to setting new benchmarks in the Balinese property market, positioning Tranquility Bali as a brand of lasting global significance.
Matthew is a longstanding Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), bringing with him the highest levels of professionalism and governance. He holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Planning and Property Development from a British university, providing him with a strong academic foundation in Real Estate.
